The ninth installment of CAMP is coming to UCSB on November 6-7-8, 2026!
ποΈ What is CAMP?
The CAlifornia Meeting on Psycholinguistics is a free, informal two-day workshop to promote psycholinguistics research in California. All are welcome to submit, but student and post-doc research will be prioritized. Research areas include, but are not limited to:
- Adult and child language processing
- Language comprehension
- Language planning and production
- Developmental psycholinguistics
- Computational psycholinguistics
- Bilingual language processing
- Neurolinguistics
- Experimental syntax, semantics, phonetics, or phonology
By conference policy, registration is free and everyone is welcome to attend but first authors must be based in California.

Our MRPI grant is funding another additional Friday half-day workshop with invited speakers. The theme is Language Diversity and Language Technology.

- August 28: Open Review profile creation for authors/reviewers new to the platform
- September 4: Abstract / reviewer registration deadline
- September 25: Review deadline
- October 2: Notification of decision
- October 30: Registration deadline

CAMP has been held at UCLA, USC, UCSC, UCI, UCLA, Stanford, UCSD, and UCD
